Student Checklist
Signing Up to Final Submission
1. Sign Up for the Project
- Complete the registration form.
- Pay the registration fee of $500.
- Submit your resume in the Google Docs
2. Selecting a Nobel Laureate
- Visit the Nobel Prize website: https://www.nobelprize.org/.
- Choose a Nobel Laureate that interests you.
- Enter your name and the selected laureate's name in the provided Google Sheet.
3. Conducting Research
- Gather detailed information about your chosen laureate from various sources.
- Explore academic databases like JSTOR, Google Scholar, and PUBMED.
- Watch documentaries and podcasts and read memoirs for additional insights.
4. Writing Your Chapter
- Follow the template provided in the Google Docs link.
- Write a draft focusing on the laureate's personal journey and scientific achievements.
- Ensure the chapter is within the 2000–2500-word limit and includes up to 3 high-resolution images.
5. Review Process
- Submit your chapter for the first round of review.
- Incorporate feedback from the first review and submit it to the second review.
- Finalize your chapter after the third review, incorporating all necessary changes.
6. Resolving Feedback Disagreements
- Attend scheduled Zoom meetings if there are disagreements or clarifications needed.
7. Preparing Final Submission
- Ensure all citations and references are correctly formatted and included.
- Submit a high-resolution bust-size photo for the book and back cover.
8. Reviewing Peers' Chapters
- Review two chapters written by fellow participants as assigned.
- Provide constructive feedback and suggestions.
9. Final Submission and Sharing
- Submit your finalized chapter adhering to all guidelines and formatting requirements.
- Confirm submission and await confirmation of receipt.
- Write a short article (5 minutes or less read time) following Medium.com guidelines about your experience in the project and share it as the last item in this phase.
10. Post-Submission and Promotion
- Receive a certificate of participation.
- Await the delivery of 40 printed copies of the book.
- Explore guidance for future academic plans as provided.
- Promote your book and the project on all platforms available to you, your family, and your circle of friends (social media, blogs, community groups, etc.).
