Congratulations on joining the "Path to Nobel" book series! We are thrilled to have you on board for this exciting journey of discovery and creativity. This page outlines the key steps and resources to guide you through writing your chapter.

1. Project Overview

"Path to Nobel" is a unique opportunity for you to delve into the life and work of a Nobel-caliber pioneer. Over the next eight weeks, you will research, write, and refine a chapter dedicated to a pioneer of your choice, culminating in the publication of our collective work.

2. Selecting Your Pioneer

Start with the field you care about — medicine, physics, chemistry, economics, anything with pioneers worth writing about. Once you're registered you'll receive a starting list of living pioneers in that field, checked by a mentor, with the ones already covered in earlier volumes marked so you can look past them. Research widely, add names of your own, shortlist three, and settle on one with your mentor.

3. Writing Your Chapter

You'll receive the chapter template and detailed writing instructions once you're registered.

4. Review and Feedback

• There is a live session every Friday at 8:00 PM Eastern. Weeks one to four are with Dr. Rao and the whole cohort; at the end of week four you're assigned a mentor, and weeks five to eight are with your mentor and a small group of about five. You can ask your mentor for extra time whenever you need it.
• You'll receive feedback to help refine your chapter.
• Should you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out.

5. Finalizing Your Chapter

• Incorporate the feedback and finalize your chapter.
• Ensure your chapter adheres to the formatting guidelines provided.

6. Desktop Publishing (DTP) and Printing

• Once all chapters are submitted, they'll be formatted for publication.
• The final book will be printed and published, marking the completion of the project.
• 10 copies of the printed book will be shipped to your address once printing is complete.

7. Time / Duration of the Project

• 1 week — selecting your pioneer
• 1 week — researching your pioneer
• 2–4 weeks — writing your chapter
• 1 week — the review process
• 1 week — the final version
• 1 week — Medium.com article and promotion
• 3 weeks — printing
• 2–3 weeks — delivery of your 10 copies
